Regional Committee Member Positions

EOIs are invited until 22nd September from livestock producers to assist in directing the RD&A agenda for the livestock industries in south-eastern Australia through membership of SALRC Regional Committees, including for Northern NSW. Positions are open for two NNSW grass-fed beef and/or sheepmeat producers.

The Southern Australia Livestock Research Council (SALRC) is an independent, Incorporated Association and one of three national research councils providing recommendations on Research, Development & Adoption (RD&A) in the red meat industry. The SALRC network encompasses grass-fed beef and sheepmeat producers and R&D professionals throughout Australia.

As part of SALRC’s commitment to building industry and organisational capability, recruitment is now underway for key livestock producer members in south-eastern Australia.   Producer members are eligible to serve a three year term, with positions eligible for re-appointment at the conclusion of their first term.

Working closely with their respective Regional Committee Chair, SALRC Regional Committee Members provide the critical interface between RD&A providers and the needs of red meat livestock producers.

As a beef or sheep meat producer, you will have the opportunity to provide advice on MLA levy investments in Research and Development, collaborate with technical experts and contribute to nation-wide programs.

Please submit EOIs to info@salrc.com.au. Read more on the SALRC website
