Glen Innes Health Hub opens to the community

The Glen Innes Health Hub opened to the community in a soft launch on 19 May 2025.

A one-stop-shop for people who have questions, need information or have concerns about their health, community members will be welcomed and supported by “Service Navigator” Megan, who provides non-clinical guidance to people find the health, well-being, social and community services they need.

Service Navigators connect patients with GPs, exercise physiologists, mental health professionals, specialists, pharmacies, aged care and disability providers, social and community networks and services, depending on their needs.

A GP service will commence from 26 May 2025 and will have availability for 560 appointments within the first month alone.

The Health Hub also offers access to a range of health professionals and programs including:

• Mental Health specialists / Psychology / Psychiatry

• Nurse

• Parkinson’s Nurse

• Occupational Therapist

• Physiotherapist

• Speech Pathologist

• Diabetes Doctor / Endocrinologist

• Diabetes Educator

• Exercise Physiologist

• Exercise and movement classes

• Women’s health services (focused on peri-menopause and menopause)

• Dietitian

Glen Innes CARE Co-operative Ltd

The Glen Innes CARE Co-operative Ltd was registered on 6 May 2025 and the founding local Board will oversee governance of the Glen Innes Health Hub post the pilot funding in June 2027. Memberships will soon be available to community and corporate entities, to join the co-op and get involved. Further details on the membership and service offering with be available soon.
