Funding secured for succession planning workshop

28th Jul 2014

“Spring Thinking” is the both the name and the nature of an upcoming workshop on succession planning to be hosted by Glenrac. The one day workshop will take place on the 2nd of October, and will be presented by Lyn Sykes.

Lyn is a consultant for High Resolutions, a family business consulting firm, and Lyn is in high demand across rural Australia as a communication specialist. Amongst other things, she frequently presents on communication skills and succession planning at workshops and forums. Lyn’s fresh ideas with an innovative approach to facilitation of the family farm transfer, is nationally recognised, and she consistently receives positive feedback and testimonials from families and communities that she has worked with.

Communication and succession planning is one more problem faced by farming families, but one that can be solved by being proactive. The workshop is open to all farming families in the Glen Innes district, and to gain the maximum benefit, Glenrac strongly recommends multiple generations of the same family attending.

The Spring Thinking project has been made possible by funding from The Ascent Group, part of the Australian Government’s drought assistance package, and from the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.
