GLENRAC’s annual Fit Farmers event is coming to Dundee next week!
Farmers from across the region are invited to attend GLENRAC’s annual Fit Farmers event at Dundee Community Hall next week.
This FREE event, which coincides with national RU OK? day, highlights the importance of talking about all aspects of a farmer’s health – physical, emotional and financial.
Event speakers at this year’s event will include Ian Shepherd from Safe Work NSW, Stuart Brummell from the Rural Financial Counselling Service, Sarah Green from Highway to Well and the team at Healthwise who will be delivering free health checks on the day. Trent McIntyre from New England Weeds Authority will also be on hand to answer any weed related questions or identify specimens.
“Given the recent stress that farmers in our region have endured from drought, bushfire and now COVID-19, this event will be a great opportunity for the community to come together,” said the GLENRAC Drought Support Officer, Kyle Holliss.
“Each of the event speakers have extremely relevant information to pass on to our attendees and there will be a free morning tea and a barbecue lunch on the day for everyone to enjoy.
“Unfortunately, due to restrictions we are limited to 60 attendees only. We encourage anyone interested in attending to call the GLENRAC office on 02 6732 3443.”
Fit Farmers, Thursday 10th September 10:00am-lunch. Spaces limited to 60 people. RSVP by Tuesday 8th September to 02 6732 3443 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
