COLLARED – Online Information Session Highlighting Feral Animal Research
GLENRAC will bring together two key researchers on feral animals in the region for their upcoming online webinar, Collared.
Dr Guy Ballard and Darren Marshall will provide landholders with an update on research surrounding wild dogs and feral pigs, plus a new program on feral cats.
Dr Guy Ballard has worked on wild dog and other feral animal research for a number of years. “I am a field ecologist who specialises in working with wildlife and people to achieve practical outcomes from science-based wildlife management programs,” said Dr Ballard.
“I take a ‘hands-on’ approach to research, preferring to work in the field whenever possible.”
Darren Marshall is a Glen Innes lad who has worked for a number of years in pest animal management and research based in southern QLD. His recent projects have seen him working on research on the distribution and movement of feral pigs in the landscape, including around the Northern Tablelands.
“This event will be held online using Zoom, which is a really easy platform for anyone to register and access,” said GLENRAC Project Manager, Jennie Coldham.
“GLENRAC are happy to provide step by step instructions to help anyone with a computer and internet to join the event. Please give our office a call on 02 6732 3443 and let us know how we can assist.”
