Tag-along success

Rummerys Hill is part of a tree-covered ridge that lies 20 kilometres north of Glen Innes on the Emmaville Road. Some of the 26 members of the Rummerys Hill Landcare Group just finished a busy year of activities with a tag-along farm tour, inspecting farm successes in pest and weed control and the protection of old growth trees.

Group Coordinator, Peter King said ‘members are happy to share what they’ve learned, so we are all learning together. In spring we plan to walk a lot of the Hill, learning more and having some fun along the way.’

This year the Group undertook group pest and weed control programs and gathered a lot of information on the plants and animals of the Hill that will soon go on the Glenrac local landcare website.
