Got Your Ducks in a Row?

GLENRAC and Gwymac Landcare ask the question to local farmers as a prompt to consider attending upcoming workshops in Glen Innes, 30th May 2018 and Inverell, 31st May 2018 respectively.

Landcare Coordinator at GLENRAC, Kylie Falconer says ‘the theme of the events relates to the need for farmers to get their financial, physical and mental affairs in order to be ready for the future. Event topics have been selected from direct feedback from our Landcare members.’

These workshops are open to all members of interested farming families from across the region. The one day program will cover wide ranging topics including farm succession planning, farm business structure, how to make things physically easier on farm and importance of maintaining good mental health and managing stress during times of change.

Event organisers have a great line up of speakers including Jane Newsome of Roberts & Morrow, Glen Innes, Kerri-Lynn Peachy of the Australian Centre for Agricultural Health & Safety, Moree; local physiotherapist, Suzie Dwyer and our new Rural Adversity Mental Health Program Coordinator, Letitia Cross.

These events are the first events in our new project titled ‘Engaging and connecting women in the Northern Tablelands’ funded by the Australian Governments Community Resilience program. The project will run over three years and deliver events in both Glen Innes and Inverell.
