One-off $3000 Payments to Drought Affected Farmers Through the Drought Community Support Initiative

Drought-hit farmers in all local government areas of New England will be able to access one-off payments of $3,000 thanks to the Government’s Drought Community Support Initiative. This money can be used to cover day to day living costs such as groceries, vehicle maintenance, energy and utility bills, or health & medical expenses.

Am I eligible?
- Applicants must be over 18 and work and live in one of the identified council areas
- Identified council areas include Armidale Regional, Glen Innes Severn, Gwydir, Inverell, Tenterfield, Upper Hunter, Uralla and Walcha local government areas.

How do I apply?
Applications should be made through the St Vincent de Paul Society by residents in the Liverpool Plains and Tamworth Region local government areas. Residents should apply through the Salvation Army if they live in the Armidale Regional, Glen Innes Severn, Gwydir, Inverell, Tenterfield, Upper Hunter, Uralla and Walcha local government areas.
