Drought Support Services

The Rural Adversity Mental Health Program has 14 Coordinators based across NSW who are able to provide specialist knowledge and support for people experiencing mental health concerns.

Mental Health Support for drought affected families

Hunter New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network (HNECC PHN) is a not-for-profit organisation. We aim to improve health services by listening to communities to find out their health needs and issues. We then look to fund organisations to deliver services that best meet these needs.

We currently fund local organisations to deliver free mental health services to the New England and Upper Hunter regions, including short-term psychological therapy by qualified Allied Health professionals.

Access to services was a high priority for those who we have spoken to so we have removed the need for a GP referral to access these free local mental health services that we fund.

The providers who deliver these services are available to drought affected families and are listed below.
