Young Farmer Business Program Conference coming in 2020
The NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) has announced its inaugural Young Farmer Business Program conference to inspire and motivate young farmers and fishers while providing critical business, finance and planning skills. Farm and business tours are on offer on Thursday, 6 February with the Conference to be officially opened on Friday, 7 February 2020.
DPI’s Deputy Director General of Engagement and Industry Assistance, Brett Fifield said the event builds on existing program, aiming to provide opportunities for our next generation of primary producers, and is expected to attract around 200 young farmers and fishers from across NSW.
“The focus of the conference will be on business skills, finance, planning and giving inspiration to encourage participants to not only survive but thrive in the primary industries sector. Conference participants will learn about the drivers of successful primary production businesses, the support services available and the steps needed to achieve their dreams.”
A wide range of trade exhibitors will be on hand to answer questions, a panel session with young farmers will allow them to share their stories and insights, and conference attendees will have opportunities to network and share experiences with each other. Tickets for the 2020 inaugural Young Farmer Business Program Conference will go on sale from Monday, 21 October 2019.
